Warehouse Manager

We are currently seeking to expand our warehouse operations. We are inviting applications for the position of Assistant Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assists in achieving daily targets (customer satisfaction, employee management, warehouse functionality) through warehouse distribution best practice.
• Coordinates the preparation of Warehouse scorecards and assists in the review of KPIs for Warehouse staff.
• Complies with manufacturers requirements in relation to product handling and shipping, ensuring adherence to requirements and advising management on corrective actions.
• Assists with the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports on the operational and financial aspects of the warehouse.
• Initiates and coordinates the logistics of outbound shipments in compliance with the company’s requirements. Ensures that all goods picked are accurate and all information relating to delivery date, product description and expiry dates are verified before dispatching.
• Monitors the activities of all subordinate staff and takes responsibility for all activities on the dispatch bay.
• Assists the Warehouse Managers with the preparation and scheduling of rosters.
• Ensures that health and safety standards are met.

Position Requirements 

• Tertiary level education in Warehousing, Logistics, Business Management or any other related discipline.
• Two (2) years working experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience working within a unionized environment will be an asset.
• Must possess:
  • Sound communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of warehouse operations and proficiency in Microsoft Office..
