The Jamaica Observer Limited is seeking a Advertising Placement Coordinator to join the team.
ADVERTISING PLACEMENT COORDINATOR
The successful candidate will be responsible for retrieving, checking quality, and converting all advertisements to EPS format for linking into the system.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide runsheet for the Graphic Arts Department and Sales Team upon request.
- Provide advertising layout to the Pre-press department if artwork reproductions require special attention.
- Retrieve, check and convert advertisements to PDF format and link/upload to publication date folders; process artwork for print jobs as well as special features and daily publications to ensure that the specifications as per our artwork guidelines are met.
- File and log late artwork to Pre-Press.
- Provide the required reports.
- Ensure that indemnity letters are received as per artwork received.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Qualification and Experience Required
- Secondary level education with at least 4 CXC/GCE passes including English language and mathematics.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
Specific Skills or Competencies Required
- Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS6, Adobe Indesign CS6.
- Ability to quickly grasp our working platform.
