LASCO Microfinance Limited is seeking qualified interests for the following position.

Job Title: Administrative Clerk

The incumbent is responsible for preparation, dissemination and administration of letters and correspondences to clients.

Summary of major Job Duties and responsibilities:

  • The candidate will prepare, amend, and interpret legal documents for review.
  • Review all legal documents for Loan processing Unit and Securities
  • Generate reports as requested to guide decision making
  • Obtain and retain sound knowledge of lending Policies and Procedures to support the timely and appropriate response to customers
  • Research regulatory issues and monitoring laws and policies in connection with Micro Finance transactional and collection matters.
  • Reporting any unusual occurrence or fraudulent activity noted in trend monitoring

  Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of Collection policies and procedures with proven skills to optimize collection effectiveness would be an asset
  • A sound knowledge of microfinance products and services
  • Excellent research skills
  • Knowledge of Contract Law, Commercial Law, and Company Law would be an asset 
  • Excellent letter writing skills
  • Accurate and quick document drafting
  • Excellent time management

 Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
  • 2 years' related work experience
  • Sound writing skills in collection related correspondence, must be presented in an informative, concise and professional format.
  • Must have effective time management skills in order to prioritize, motivate and organize using the ability to deal with varied tasks and situations on an ongoing basis
  • Very good negotiation and analytical skills in order to coordinate and present alternatives to customers.
