The SVP provides strategic and operational leadership for the following key support functions to enable coordinated, efficient and consistent service delivery and achievement of core strategic objectives across the SVL group of companies.

Supreme Ventures Services Limited is looking to identify a dynamic, experienced individual to fill the Executive role of Senior Vice President People & Corporate Services for the group.

The SVP will serve as the chief people leader ensuring strategy, systems, policies and processes are aligned with the Group’s strategic direction and best in class HR standards.

The SVP will contribute to the development and ongoing review of corporate strategy and serve as advisor to executive management and the Board on matters of the functions within the span of control.

The scope of this position will cover the following areas:

General Management & Leadership:

  • Leads the development of the strategic planning process for all functions within the span of control; ensures alignment with the Group’s business strategy and broader strategic direction.
  • Establishes for all functions within span of control, reporting requirements including performance metrics and data analytics to support the business needs of the Group. 
  • Oversees the development/review and implementation of operating policies and procedures for all functions within the span of control. 
  • Fosters an environment of active and collaborative management, among the functions within the span of control to drive continuous improvement, employees’ engagement and desired performance outcomes.

Human Resources:

  • Leads the development of the Group’s HR strategy ensuring alignment with its business strategy. 
  •  Develops and implements an effective HR operating model including HR systems and technology to facilitate effective service delivery across the employee life cycle. 
  •   Assumes the role as chief HR advisor to individual companies and their boards on strategic and key operational HR matters. 
  • Leads the development and oversees the implementation of a total rewards programme to enable the Group to be market competitive in attracting and retaining the right talent.

Security:

  • Overseas the development and monitors implementation of a comprehensive security strategy including policies, procedures, and protocols, to protect the Group's employees, facilities, and assets. 
  •  Oversees the development of a crisis management and business continuity plan to effectively respond to emergencies and critical incidents to minimize downtime in the Group’s business operations.
  • Participates in the selection of security service providers; ensures that services are provided within the terms and conditions of the contracts/service level agreements. 
  • Ensures effective inter-company and cross-functional collaboration with other support services including IT, human resources, and facilities management, to enable the integration of security considerations into key business processes and operational initiatives across the group of companies.

Project Management

  •  Directs the development of a robust project management framework including methodology, policies, procedures tools and other resources to facilitate standardization, effective management, reporting and delivery of projects across the Group. 
  •  Provides adequate oversight and assists project managers in removing roadblocks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize project risks and enable the successful completion of projects. Participates as required in project risk reviews, and close-out meetings.

Facilities Management

  • Oversees the development of a comprehensive long, medium and short term maintenance plan for buildings, infrastructure and other capital assets including the Group’s fleet of motor vehicles.
  •  Leads the development of a plan and oversees implementation of programmes for energy conversation and other sustainability practices across the Group.
  •  Directs the development and monitors implementation of health and safety programme ensuring compliance with established occupational health and safety principles and requirements; ensures effective collaboration between HR, Facilities and individual companies to facilitate employees training and implementation of health and safety programmes.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Postgraduate certification in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related discipline 
  • Minimum experience of 12 years’ experience with 5 years in senior HR Management, Corporate Services position or related field
