Accounting Officer

A distribution company located in Kingston is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare management accounts and financial reports to track business performance.
• Accurately prepare and submit GCT returns and other financial statements.
• Process staff payroll in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily bank and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare vendor payments for authorization and disbursement.
• Perform stock audits and ensure alignment with invoices and receivals.
• Ensure timely preparation of cash lodgments for collection.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Associate Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Peachtree.
