Accounting Officer

The person will be responsible for the functional oversight of the accounting records and respective reconciliations related to Accounts Receivables and other associated balances.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

▪ First degree, preferably in accounting or related subject.

▪ Level 2 ACCA or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

▪ At least 3 years’ experience in a computerised accounting environment within the retail sector.

▪ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on MS Excel.

▪ Experience with Oracle Financials would be an asset.

▪ Strong organizational/coordination skills and excellent at time management.

▪ Analytical and problem –solving skills.

▪ Good interpersonal and communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪ Reconciliation of assigned bank accounts.

▪ Reconciliation of assigned remittance accounts.

▪ Extraction and submission of information from Electronic Processing Interface as required.

▪ Investigation of queries and preparation of bank related correspondence.

▪ Analysis and monitoring of assigned GL accounts.

▪ Any other tasks assigned that will assist in achieving the purpose stated above and or the company’s mission.
