Accounting Clerk

A very successful boutique hotel operating in Western Jamaica is currently seeking the services of an exceptional Accounting Clerk.

The Accounting Clerk is at minimum required to display the following characteristics below:

• High level of integrity and honesty.
• Very meticulous and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent quantitative skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.

The following are the minimum qualifications required of the Accounting Clerk:

• An undergraduate degree in accounting is a plus.
• At least 2 years operating in similar capacity.
• Prior knowledge of navigating an accounting software.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The following tasks will be required of the Accounting Clerk at minimum:

• Recording suppliers’ invoices daily.
• Application of suppliers’ payments daily
• Recording routine journal entries daily.
• Reconciling suppliers balance with supplier statements monthly.
• Assist in coordinating monthly and annual inventory counts.
• Assist with the monthly inventory reconciliation process.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of weekly disbursements for approval.
• Managing the accounts payable subsidiary ledger.
• Filing and maintaining suppliers’ files in accordance with the company’s standards.
• Assist with booking and reconciling daily walk-in revenues.
• Any other task assigned by the department supervisor.
