Accounting Assistant

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physical and electronic.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner inclusive of statutory obligations.
  • Support the payroll function including collecting and entering employee timesheets, calculating and uploading payroll.
  • Daily reconciliation of cashiers.
  • Support the inventory management function both of fixed assets and consumables.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents and assist with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide support to the accounts team as needed, including performing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering inquiries

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting or ACCA level two.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite in particular Word, Excel and accounting software (Peachtree/Quick book).
  • At least five years working in a similar/related environment.
  • Proficient in Point of Sale Systems
  • Knowledge of Office Procedures.
