This senior level accountant will prepare, develop and analyse accounting information and provide high quality support to management, head office, line managers and/or officers of the Company, working with stringent timelines.

Accountant (Barbados)

This senior level accountant will prepare, develop and analyse accounting information and provide high quality support to management, head office, line managers and/or officers of the Company, working with stringent timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure efficient month end close and prepare accurate monthly financial statements,
   ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciles monthly.
2. Preparation and calculation of annual budgets and performance management.
3. Manage the Year End Audit.
4. Ensure all inventory is accurately valued at cost and manage the stock count process.
5. Prepare audit schedules for Standard Barbados and manage audit queries.
6. Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
7. Quarterly financial reporting
8. Prepare and ensure payment of quarterly taxes.
9. Compute and submit corporate tax returns and vat returns.
10. Prepare monthly variance analysis reports and branch sales reports.
11. Prepare and processes journals for the general ledger.
12. Review and approve payment of vendor invoices.
13. Review account registers and schedules.
14. Review accounting for expense reports and other accounting transactions.
15. Approval of charged sales orders.
16. Review and maintain the fixed asset register.
17. Approve the creation of new vendors.
18. Provide support and information to Management Team.
19. Comply with Group’s processes and policies.
20. Any other duties, which may be assigned.
