Key Details

Role Overview
This dual-role position combines accounting and administrative duties in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), organizational policies, and relevant industry and government regulations. You will report to the Finance Director and play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, timely reporting, and administrative efficiency.
Responsibilities
-Accounting Duties
-Post daily transactions, including invoicing, payments, deposits, wire transfers, journal entries.
-Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
-Prepare accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
-Manage petty cash following company procedures.
-Maintain the fixed asset register.
-Prepare and file statutory forms (NIS, PAYE, Health Surcharge, VAT, Quarterly Tax Payments) at government offices.
-Assist in the preparation of financial statements and schedules for year-end audits.
-Support the Finance Director in producing financial reports.
-Liaise with auditors and bankers as necessary.
-Balance daily sales between the point-of-sale system and the accounting system.
-Ensure inventory accuracy in the point-of-sale and accounting systems.
Administrative Duties
-Upkeep Accounting filing system.
-Draft and review meeting minutes for the Director.
-Provide administrative support, including managing office supplies to ensure availability.
-Assist in other administrative tasks as required.
-Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
-Maintain a Health and Safety filing system in accordance with the STOW certification system.
-Actively participate in HSE system requirements and initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software like Peachtree, Sage 50, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Personal Requirements:
-Valid driver’s permit and access to a personal vehicle.
-Strong communication and organizational skills.
-Customer-oriented, honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Technical Skills:
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
-Ability to maintain accuracy in preparing and entering data.
