Olympic Athlete Andrew Lewis is the beneficiary of a scholarship from the INTACTT Group Limited. Lewis has made the decision to use his off season to further his academic qualifications. This September, the 22yr old Laser Class sailor will enroll in the Certified Associate in Project Management or CAPM administered by INTACTT.
Makeisha Bahadur-Maharaj, Senior Partner at INTACTT, states, “We at INTACTT are delighted to play a role in the educational development of one of our Olympic heroes. When Andrew’s manager contacted us about Andrew’s interest in the programme, we were more than happy to open our doors to him. We look forward to seeing Andrew in the classroom”
Explaining his decision to enroll, Lewis Says “My sport as well as the community projects I am committed to involves a great deal of planning and logistics to make sure that everything gets done. I know that this qualification will benefit me in planning for my campaign for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. I chose INTACTT particularly because the flexibility of their programmes fits well with my schedule. I will have an opportunity to attend classes in person as well as online to earn my qualification”. The CAPM classes begin on September 22nd and the final exam is scheduled for December 2012.
