Benefits of Updating Your Caribbean Jobs Profile

How great would it be to get your dream job offer without even applying? Or how about getting a job alert straight to your inbox without even searching?

These are just a few benefits you can get by having an updated profile on CaribbeanJobs.com. Here is a bit more info to ensure your credentials are up to date:

1. Update Your Resume
A well written resume is the first step in qualifying for your dream job (see Resume Writing tips here). You must ensure you have your latest work and educational experience listed. Once you have that, you’d want to keep the latest version uploaded on your CaribbeanJobs profile. This helps to ensure:
• You’ll be head-hunted by top employers in the Caribbean
• You’ll receive tailored Caribbean career advice
• You’ll get the latest and best jobs straight to your inbox

2. Update Your CaribbeanJobs Profile
Along with your latest resume, be sure to add these pertinent details to your CaribbeanJobs profile:
• Full Name
• Contact Information
• Current Location
• Desired Location to Work
• Professional Experience
• Educational Qualifications
• Roles You Are Interested In

3. Sign Up for Job Alerts
Job Alerts keep you in touch with your dream job the minute it is posted on site. Once you log on to your account, click “job alerts” and add the categories and/or companies you desire. You can receive job alerts daily, weekly or monthly.

Note: When you haven’t searched for a job on the site for 45 days, the alerts are turned off automatically.

4. Ensure your profile is searchable
Once you’ve made your changes and saved them, be sure your profile is made “searchable”. This ensures employers can find you when searching our Jobseeker Database. If your profile is “hidden”, you will not appear in our searches, so it is important you make this visible. To do so, click on the “HIDDEN” tab on the top right hand corner, switching it to “SEARCHABLE”.

By completing all four (4) steps listed above, this puts you in the best position to find your dream job right on site.

All the best in your job search!
