FINANCE OFFICER - REVENUE AND RECEIVABLES
The Finance Officer – Revenue and Receivables is a key member of the Finance team with expertise in processing accounting transactions and preparing financial reports and analyses. The incumbent supports the Finance Supervisor/Manager and also responsible for the accuracy and completeness of Lottery sales and related reports. The Officer is also required to promote the effective use of technology within the Finance function.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of controls for the revenue and collections process
- Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of weekly requisitions
- Assist with the preparation of Letters, Returns to BGLC, TAJ etc
- Assist in preparing the weekly journals
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly invoices, schedules and statements for designated customer accounts
- Assist with bank download and prepare bank deposits for entry into ES and ACCPAC systems
- Assist with monitoring of delinquent customers on payment plans
- Assist with the preparation of the weekly suppression listing and timely request for reactivation of accounts
- Assist with updating Agent files to reflect guarantees and other correspondence
- Assist with topping up mobile gamer accounts
- Assist with the preparation of the weekly reports for revenue and collections
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- B.Sc. Accounting/Finance from recognized tertiary institution
- Currently pursuing/ or completed professional accounting certification, e.g. CA, CPA
- At least one (1) year experience in a related area within Finance field
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience using ACCPAC system, an advantage
- High level of numeracy
- Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentational
