
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) was formed in 1974 and is the representative body and voice for banks and other financial institutions in the Caribbean. CAB currently represents 75 banks and financial institutions in 17 Caribbean countries. CAB’s mission is to Protect, Promote and Strengthen the regional banking sector.
Working within the CAB Secretariat in Saint Lucia and reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the leadership and management of the Association in accordance with approved strategic goals and members’ needs.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- strong knowledge and experience of regional banking institutions, governments, legislation and regulatory agencies, as well as International Banking Associations
- leadership, representation and advocacy experience from within a financial services industry stakeholder association, similar organisation, or financial services institution
- proven acumen in operational planning and management
- program planning and implementation experience in a service or membership environment
- human resources planning and management expertise to ensure a positive work environment
- strategic financial planning and management experience with proven budgeting skills
- secretariat management and service experience, including event planning.
Necessary qualifications and competencies include:
- University degree in Business, Management, Banking, Finance or relevant field
- 10 years’ senior management experience in the financial services industry
- Proficiency in business and office information technology, communication and tools
- Collaborative, stakeholder and service orientation
- Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High motivation; solution, target and goal oriented
- High standards of Integrity and Ethics
