The Assistant Treasury Manager supports the treasury function through astute liquidity management and cash flow optimization. The incumbent is required to prepare cash flow forecasts, develop financial models and allocate short-term funds to meet organisational working capital and investment needs. This includes managing daily cash and banking operations, maintaining accurate records of transactions and developing liquidity optimization initiatives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Cash Planning and Forecasting
- Prepare cash flow forecasts for Group entities including regular and ad-hoc cash flow projections.
- Plan and monitor payment cycles to ensure timely and accurate processing in accordance with approved workflows and approval authorities.
- Support financial planning and analysis functions to align cash forecasts with broader financial models, budgets and long-term strategic planning.
Financial Products and Cash Management
- Support the management of interest rates, currency exchange rates and cash sweeps to optimize financial performance.
- Assist in administering cash pooling and other financial tools to enhance cash utilization.
- Maintain petty cash controls including reviews and cash counts.
Bank Account Administration
- Assist in the setup, maintenance and update of bank account updates.
- Review reconciliations of all bank accounts
- Process ad-hoc payments and support the administration of company credit cards.
- Liaise with banks to explore and implement improved financial services.
- Support internal and external audits, including tax audits.
Debt Management
- Review agreements related to debt and trade finance instruments.
- Oversee and maintain detailed amortization schedules while ensuring timely execution of all debt related payments.
- Assess foreign currency needs to meet various financial obligations.
- Ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of debt covenant calculations and other financial reporting obligations.
Team Support and Governance

Qualifications and Experience:
- ACCA/CTP qualifies or equivalent relevant treasury related qualification
- Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in Treasury/Accounting/Finance/ Banking
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience
