Medical Surgical Associates announces an opening for the role of Medical/Surgical Technician. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our surgical teams during medical procedures in surgical or peri-operative settings. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our high standards of patient care and surgical excellence. Candidiate must currently be resident in Antigua & Barbuda.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during procedures.
- Prepare and organize the operating room, including equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Manage and maintain medical equipment and oversee medical stock to ensure all necessary supplies are available.
- Perform various supportive tasks in the operating room, procedure room, ICU, and doctor's offices.
- Engage in office duties and transportation of patients as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 8 CXC’s including English and Mathematics.
- Associates degree in Surgical Technology.
- At least 2 years of experience in an operating room or medical field as a Medical/Surgical Technician.
- Proficiency in computer systems, with a strong orientation towards customer service.
Additional Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and ability to manage physical tasks such as lifting and transporting supplies and patients.
- Currently resident in Antigua
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours; overtime will be compensated.
