Position 1: Senior Technician
Job Summary:
To install, repair and maintain electronic devices and security equipment. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions, ensure projects are completed on time and on budget and communicate changes and progress on jobs to ESIS Technical Supervisor.
Main Respoonsibilities:
- Assemble and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems.
- Read technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment specifications, application in the design submission and installation methods to be employed.
- Modify prototypes to correct functional deviations or allows for manipulation under direction of the manufacturer or competent authority.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Discuss layout and installation and service procedures and problems with ESIS technical supervisor and draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of installation of systems.
- Write technical reports and develop schematics to describe and illustrate systems operating characteristics.
- Verify functionality of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions or conduct service evaluations and repairs.
- Install a variety of electronic security systems including, fire detection systems, CCTV IP and analog systems and integration of access control systems.
- Install and program all the security systems provided by the company also check and evaluate the performance of the systems under actual operating conditions.
- Run wire in conduits as required
- Diagnose malfunction or failure of equipment and performs corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot repairs and modifies developmental equipment/systems.
- Ensure that all jobs are adequately supplied with materials and labor to ensure completion dates and quality standards are met.
- Analyse and review findings to determine source problem and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain quality standards set by the company and meet time line on assigned projects.
- Prepare reports on completion of jobs with all input/output data for both materials and manpower resources.
- Test, troubleshoot and repair electronic security equipment and systems.
- Program alarm systems to Central Monitoring Station.
- Assist with related special projects and filing as requested
- Participate in on-the-job training when called upon including distant learning assignments and vender systems locally and abroad
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 CXC O’level
- NBFAA level I and II Alarm Certification or National Technician Diploma
- Certificate in Electronics
- Technician Advanced Diploma in Applied Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) Level I & II
- City & Guilds Electronic & Electrical Engineering
- 2 years experience in installations and servicing of electronic security systems
- 3-4 years experience as a technician
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Basic First Aid
- Defensive Driving
Position 2: Technical Supervisor
Job Summary:
To coordinate the day to day activities of the ESIS Senior Technicians, Technicians and Contractors relative to assigned tasks. Perform audits and assist with installations as necessary. Liaise with customers regarding service, installation, requirements and status; provides technical support to subordinate staff and customers; takes responsibility for the performance management, professional development, concerns, awards and discipline of subordinate staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Assemble and evaluate hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing systems.
- Read technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment specifications, application in the design submission and installation methods to be employed.
- Modify prototypes to correct functional deviations or allows for manipulation under direction of the manufacturer or competent authority.
- Review the ESIS Senior Technicians diagnosis of malfunction or failure of operational equipment.
- Plan, direct and record routine maintenance and testing of equipment and systems.
- Represent the Company on projects as directed and communicate to the ESIS Operations Manager information relative to the project.
- Assist in developing wiring diagrams, layout drawing and engineering specifications for systems or equipment and direct personnel performing the installation and maintenance on the use and interpretation of the submissions.
- Prepare technical reports and develop schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications and functional limitations.
- Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for systems or equipment including modifications or expansions.
- Certify jobs on completion ensuring that Company and design standards are met.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 CXC O’levels
- NBFAA Level I, II and III
- City & Guilds or equivalent certification
- Certificate in Project Management
- Certified Service Technician (CST)
- Technician Advanced Diploma in Applied Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- 3-5 years Supervisory experience
- 2-3 years working experience in the installation of CCTV analog system
- 2-3 years working experience in the installation of Access Control Systems and Integration
- Drivers Permit
- Defensive driving certificate
- Physical Security Professional – ASIS International
