Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with new product developments, line extensions and other product modifications in a timely manner.
- Assist with research and development activities for new and existing products.
- Assist in securing and maintaining the confidentiality of recipes and ingredients of all products.
- Generate and maintain laboratory test reports.
- Testing of all new incoming samples for local and international suppliers.
- Blend formulations for lab samples.
- Conduct and record findings of taste surveys.
- Assist with ensuring conformance of existing and new product outer packaging (sleeves, Tetra Pak cartons, gable cartons, pressure sensitive labels) to the relevant local or international standards.
- Assist with creating product specifications for all raw material and packaging material used in production.
- Oversee sanitation procedures of the laboratory.
Education/Training & Experience
- First Degree in Food Sciences or a related discipline
- 2-3 years’ of laboratory experience
- Experience working in compliance with ISO standards and HACCP principles
