Temporary Warehouse Selector

JOB SUMMARY:
The Temporary Warehouse Selector is responsible for receiving goods into the Warehouse, replenishing
locations with stock items and processing incoming orders from customers. This includes picking, packaging,
labelling, verifying, invoicing and preloading orders. The incumbent will also be responsible for the accurate
and efficient processing of returns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving
- Sorts and checks the goods received from inbound shipments to ensure that the contents match the information provided on the Supplier’s invoice, and that the quality of the products has not been compromised. This may include but is not limited to:
- Weighing packages.
- Counting all inventory to verify quantity of loose items.
- Verifying accuracy of lot
- Enters the required information regarding received items into the automated Warehouse Management System, including but not limited to, overages, shortages, damages, lot numbers and expiry dates.
- Generates reports as required, including but not limited to reports on overages, shortages and damages.
- Follows appropriate procedures and policies in accordance with Good Distribution Practice when dealing with the receipt of cold storage items.
Packing and Verifying
- Selects products from warehouse inventory as directed using the automated Warehouse Management System and the appropriate equipment including but not limited to RF guns and places these products in the containers provided to fill customer orders in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Verifies the order being processed and prints the relevant label and invoice in preparation for preloading.
- Packages, labels and places correctly picked customer orders into the relevant bond.
- Manually picks goods from designated areas and processes invoices in preparation for dispatching as required.
Replenishment
- Completes replenishment commands on the RF gun, as guided by Warehouse Management and the relevant internal reports, in the designated storage areas and in keeping with safety policies and good distribution practice, to ensure that stock is available in forward pick locations.
- Executes put away commands by ensuring all goods are in the designated storage areas.
Returns
- Processes documentation and stock from Delivery Contractors including but not limited to delivery logs and delivery requests for credit (DRFC) in a timely manner.
- Checks returned goods to ensure that the contents match the information provided on the invoice, including lot number and expiry date, and keys in such information to generate the internal returned product report.
- Enters the required information regarding products that are being replenished into the automated Warehouse Management System.
- Receives returned items back into stock via the WMS System.
REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) GCE/CXC O ‘Levels passes, two (2) of which must include English and Mathematics.
Experience/Knowledge:
- No previous experience required.
