Econo Office and School Supplies is seeking experienced network administrator. This person will protect our critical systems and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in developing the overall IT strategy.

Objectives of this role

• Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, server, email app, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

• Handle business-critical IT tasks for the organization
• Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet and LAN.
• Assist with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
• Provide monthly reports
• Install workstations
• Any Other Duties assigned

Required skills and qualifications

• Proven success as a Network Administrator with minimum 2 years’ experience
• Experience with or knowledge of:
  Trouble-shooting problems users encounter; current equipment and technologies, backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization; programming languages and operating systems would be an asset
• Experience in cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure) and Microsoft Exchange
• Experience in Network cabling
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
• Experience working with Sage Quantum 50 and POS Software would be preferred
• Experience with implementation and maintenance video surveillance system
• Knowledge of Unix systems administration
• Professional certifications
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
