Job Summary
The role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Company’s shipping business. This includes developing and delivering customer-focused, profitable, and high-quality business solutions while ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities aligned with the broader goals of Company, implementing strategic business plans, and fostering a high-performance culture through strong leadership in HSE, performance management, and employee engagement. The incumbent will also serve as a key member of the Company Group’s management team.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall effective management of the shipping business
- Oversee client interfaces within shipping, working closely with the managers of Company
- Ensure Strategic Business Initiatives are implemented in a timely basis
- Develop and adhere to operational budgets, and actual expenditures.
- Perform monthly review of business performance for Company and leads, develops and implements sales strategies to achieve the Company’s goals
- Implement budgeting and cost control measures across the shipping value chain to include management of receivables and payables and ensure expenditure is maintained within allocated budget and established delegations
- Lead by example and manage all direct reports and subordinate staff to ensure goals and priorities are achieved and shipping services are provided in a cost effective and timely manner
- Promote an environment of co-operation for continual improvement of company performance

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 (five) years demonstrated success at a similar management level leadership position
- University degree preferably in Business or the equivalent
- Demonstrated shipping experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets and sound understanding of financial management principles
- Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating, and implementing business direction, plans, policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
