Medical Surgical Associates is actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Coder to join our team in Antigua. This dual role is essential in managing patient medical costs, billing, and coding while ensuring precise and efficient claims processing. The successful candidate will be a vital part of our healthcare team, playing a key role in maintaining the financial and medical accuracy within our state-of-the-art private hospital.

Responsibilities of Position
- Organize patient medical costs and send invoices to collect payments from patients and insurers.
- Submit and process medical claims to both local and international insurance companies.
- Assign and verify ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for medical procedures and diagnoses.
- Ensure accurate billing and insurance claims processing, including verification of patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Work with healthcare providers to resolve any coding discrepancies.
- Review invoices for accuracy, process claims, ensure timely reimbursements, and manage coding and billing records.
- Research, appeal denied claims, reconcile patient accounts, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other medical billing regulations.
- Assist in claim denials, resubmissions, and appeals.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing and coding activities and provide reports to management

Qualifications and experience required:
- Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing, Medical Coding, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, claims processing, and the overall revenue cycle management.
