Join our dynamic team as a Human Resource Officer
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR department within the organization. This includes recruitment, employee relations, training, and ensuring compliance with internal company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the recruitment process by advertising vacancies, identifying suitable talent, conducting interviews, selecting qualified individuals to join the organization and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Update and maintain staff records to ensure accuracy, compliance with the company’s policies.
- Implement and administer staff welfare initiatives as approved by management, ensuring employee needs are addressed while aligning with company policies.
- Identify and organize training programs for staff growth in the organization, ensuring that development initiatives align with both individual career goals and the organization’s objectives.
- Implement both performance improvement plans and ensure succession planning across the organization.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by actively addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts effectively, and ensuring fair and supportive disciplinary and grievance processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ HR operations experience in Jamaica
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
