DEPOT SUPERVISOR, MONTEGO BAY
Main functions:
The Depot Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Depot Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Depot.
The successful candidate will ensure that the Depot meets its monthly sales target and enables the Depot to operate in an efficient and effective manner through building and maintaining internal and external client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Depot’s operations in the absence of the Manager
- Balance daily cash sales and handle all cash and bank deposits in a safe and responsible manner
- Balance stock daily and report variances to Manager
- Assist with the receival of goods and restocking the Cold Room as necessary
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance of Cold Room and Serving Area in a neat and orderly manner
- Monitor the performance of Cold Room Attendants and provide coaching and mentoring
- Assist with the recruitment process and take steps to minimise staff turnover
- Provide staff with thorough training/orientation according to the Company’s guidelines
- Assist Manager with managing performance of staff:
- Conduct performance appraisals
- Review and agree on goals
- Assist in enhancing customer relations and monitoring customer processes to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Qualifications/Competence/Experience:
- At least a Diploma or Associate Degree in Business Management/Management Studies
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, with experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Proficient in documentation and record-keeping
- Training in Good Manufacturing Practice & Food Safety Standards
- General operational and financial responsibilities
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to details and good follow-up skills
- Ability to use initiative
- Must be punctual, accurate, precise, reliable and flexible
- Proficient in Microsoft office
