Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations of our healthcare facilities. This includes procurement, inventory management, vendor relations, logistics, and ensuring timely availability of medical supplies and equipment to support uninterrupted patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
- Manage the procurement process for medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services.
- Work closely with the IT department to create effective databases to manage and organize warehouse inventory.
- Train and instruct other members of the Supply Chain team.
- Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules to maintain seamless operations across all locations.
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values.
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project.
- Research partner companies and seek to negotiate best-price contracts to increase business revenue.
- Work closely with department heads to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain or logistics management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage vendor negotiations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of healthcare procurement standards and regulatory requirements is an asset.
