We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 5 years of experience and ACCA Level II qualifications. Experience in the manufacturing industry will be considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
2. Support the review and processing of payroll data in coordination with HR and payroll providers
3. Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer invoicing
4. Prepare and process general ledger entries and assist with reconciliations
5. Support the development of budget proposals and forecasting reports
6. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
7. Assist in internal and external audit preparations
8. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
9. Enter and record all local payments received via cash, cheques, Linx, direct deposit, etc; submit for review and approval by Assistant Accountant- Receivables/Credit Control.
10. Enter all local/foreign invoices and consignments into a database for approval by Assistant Accountant- Receivables/Credit Control.
11. Enter local credit memos into a database for review.
12. Prepare local statements for distribution.
