POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance & Transport Supervisor is to provide support in undertaking essential functions that will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all the company’s and equipment assets.
The position will also provide liaison with external stakeholders to meet the needs and requests of the company. All works are to be conducted consistent with good Oilfield Practices, QHSE standards as per company policy and clients requirements, regulatory requirements and in keeping with good Industrial and Human Relations practices.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with General Manager & Operations Manager to develop and implement Preventive Maintenance Programme.
- Ensure maintenance records are properly kept for each unit i.e. (Heavy equipment, Trucks, etc.)
- Ensure all inspections and recertification are kept up to date and conducted in a timely manner (Heritage HSE, MOT, Insurance, PRVs. Etc.)
- Ensure that all efforts are made to uphold the company’s reputation and good relationship with all suppliers and all service companies at all times.
- Keep a written log to identify the location of all units at all-time i.e. (Tanker trucks, vans, etc.)
- Manage, supervise and execute maintenance as well as support activities to all company units.
- Ensure to maintain adequate inventories of tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all equipment.
- Ensure to keep shop and storage areas clean and free from spills and tripping hazards at all times.
- Inspect units with respect to safety issues inclusive but not restricted to, non-functioning lights, smooth tyres, damage suspension and leaks.
- Conduct proper follow-through on all maintenance issues.
- Work with maintenance employees along with other technical personnel to develop proactive and effective team working together to attain set objectives.
- Ensures compliance to company safety and security standards, procedures and policies.
- Ensure maintenance personnel wear and utilize all safety equipment correctly as needed.
- Conduct inspections as scheduled and complete accurately as required.
- Efficiently schedule any allocated Mechanics, Electricians, Welders etc.to implement all preventative or reactive maintenance as required.
- Make all arrangement for the efficient and safe execution of transport activities as per schedule.
- Prepare work schedules, issue work programmes and RAs for all related works. Verify completion of work to satisfaction of the company and client.
- Prepare and submit all documents as requested by the respective deadlines to satisfy the financial controls and reporting systems of the company. Verify the accuracy of all documents. (invoices, Payment vouchers, work slips)
- Administrative: Comply with all administrative requirements for the operations of the field. (Leave schedule, approval forms, leave forms, overtime, timesheets, personal request, monthly reports, accident and incident reports, performance evaluations, etc)
- Conduct audits and inspections of transport equipment, minimum of once per month in the field to ensure they are kept up to company’s standards and that of the clients.
- Minimize downtime and lost time of all equipment and personal.
- Ensure that all units are kept in HSE compliance (Spark arrestor, reverse alarm, fire extinguishers, first aid kit, spill kit.)
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Assist the CEO in meeting compliance with the TT OSH Act and other relevant legislations.
- Ensure Compliance to company’s and client HSE Requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring employees under their control have the required HSE training and are competent to carry out work assigned in a safe and proper manner.
- Provide assistance to effectively resolve HSE related customer complaints.
- Conduct HSE Workplace Inspections.
- Responsible for conducting corrective and preventive actions related to HSE issues.
- Responsible for conducting investigation of accidents involving personnel, property and/or the environment, as well as high potential near miss.
- Assess the risk to the health and safety of his/her employees and others to which they are exposed whilst they are at work.
- Provide Safe and suitable work for pregnant and nursing women during the course of employment.
- Shall ensure all young persons are fully instructed and trained as to the dangers that may arise in connection to their operations, equipment and machinery prior to commencement of work.
- Conduct Drills, Training and HSE toolbox meetings.
- Ensure all required HSE documents are completed and signed off by relevant persons before starting work.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five CXC or equivalent passes including Mathematics and English.
- Technician’s Diploma in a relevant Engineering Discipline or 6 years relevant field experience within the oilfield
- Valid driver’s license with two years driving experience.
- An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements.
