Job Summary
Essentially, the incumbent in this position is responsible for all monetary transactions with members/guests of the establishment and the accurate completion of all related forms, documents and records associated with the operation of the float.
The Cashier must be able to
- work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- communicate effectively with customers and other staff members.
- work independently and follow instructions.
- to count money quickly and accurately and must be familiar with the casino's policies and procedures.
- to identify counterfeit money
- to handle large amounts of cash.

Key Relationships
The Cash Cage Manager
The Cash Cage Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Cash Cage. The Cash Cage Manager has oversight of all functional and administrative activities of Cash Cage. This includes assignment of duties, assignment of location, training and development, performance management and discipline.
The Cash Cage Team Leader
The Cash Cage Team Leader has delegated authority from the the Cash Cage Manager to monitor the performance of the Cash Cage and take immediate remedial action where necessary.
The Club Manager
The Club Manager is responsible for all Customer Service standards, Health and Safety standards and the well-being of members and guests of Five Star Private Members Club, in this regard the Club Manager will monitor and address discrepancies in service standards of the Cash Cage in the first instance when required. The Club Manager will liaise with the Cash Cage Manager to determine and implement corrective actions for breaches in policies and procedures, and service standards,
The Floor Manager has delegated authority for all Customer Service standards, Health and Safety standards and the well-being of members and guests of Five Star Private Members Club in this regard the Floor Manager will monitor and address discrepancies in service standards of the Cash Cage on a day to day.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all cash transactions
- Maintain a secure and organized cash cage.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons
- Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Knowledge of FIU, CFT and AML practices
- Must keep workstations clean during and at the end of the shift
- Keeps all lines of communication open and professional
- Know, understand and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Professionalism in the work place

- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in casino type or gaming industry
- Certificate in Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office and Excel in particular is mandatory)
- Minimum three (3) O’Levels to include English, Mathematics or related subject e.g. Principles of Business; Principles of accounts, Office Procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
