Job Summary: You will support the Sales Manager, utilizing strong relationships with major shipping lines to provide customers with competitive rates and efficient solutions. Your responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients and expand the customer base within Jamaica.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional customer service and tailored logistics solutions.
- Identify and pursue new freight, shipping, and logistics business opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in selling freight, shipping, and logistics services in Jamaica.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of NVOCC operations and the shipping industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable car. This position requires travel between multiple sites/locations.
