JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto/Diesel Technician (Class A/B) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gasoline and diesel vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle systems, including electrical, engine components, suspension, drive train, and AC system.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance on gasoline and diesel vehicles, including battery checks, tire pressure adjustments, and filter replacements (air, fuel, AC, and oil filters).
- Perform checks and replacement of front and rear brakes.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards through regular servicing.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Supervisor and Fleet Manager to prioritize repair schedules.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed.
KSA REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge: Proficiency in foreign Ford vehicles and components, diagnostic tools and software.
Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability:Strong ability to maintain confidentiality. Proven ability to work in a team and operate in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, crouching, and lying down.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability to work on a shift system.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: 3 CXC passes including English.
Experience: 3 years experience in auto and diesel vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Class A/B mechanic certification with a valid class 4 Trinidad & Tobago Driver License (demerit points will be checked).
Pre-Employment Testing: Pre-Employment Background Checks
