Reports To: Marketing Manager
Position Scope:
The Marketing Officer II plays a vital role in promoting the Institute’s seminars and training programmes, conducting market research, developing marketing strategies, and expanding the Institute's brand presence locally and regionally. This position requires a blend of marketing expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Market the Institute’s various seminars and training programmes effectively to target audiences.
- Conduct customer surveys, market research, and feasibility studies to identify trends and best practices.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Undertake brand development and positioning initiatives in relevant markets.
- Create compelling marketing collateral, including brochures, videos, website content, and social media posts.
- Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media platforms, email campaigns, and website content updates.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to refine strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders, partners, and potential clients to expand the company’s network and reach.
- Plan and organize events such as conferences, training programmes, and webinars.
- Facilitate or support lead generation, nurturing, and conversion activities.
- Represent the Institute at various events locally, regionally, and internationally as required.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management Systems and HSE Systems.
- Adheres to health, safety and environment rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Conducts and participates in progress and status review meetings including strategic, operations, quality and HSSE.
- Ensures that a system for monitoring the status of the activities/ projects and unresolved issues is established and properly managed.
- Ensures that all deliverables meet appropriate quality standards and HSSE standards.
- Manages third party contributions to the various activities/ projects as appropriate.
- Assist in the management of staff within the department as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Five to eight years of proven experience in a marketing environment, with preference given to candidates with experience in research and development or technology-related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities etc.:
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer applications and software.
- Experience with photography and videography is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative thinking and a passion for developing innovative marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools is beneficial.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable team player.
- Familiarity with the Caribbean business landscape is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills.
