DESCRIPTION

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting with all inventory and warehousing activities. This is a critical part of the logistics division that will also provide support to the logistics process including purchasing, tracking, inventory control, shipping, receiving and overall supply chain management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchase/restock as needed:
• Groceries/Pantry & Janitorial Supplies
• Stationery and Printing Supplies
• Inventory
• Receive and dispatch items and prepare all Goods Received Notes and Delivery Notes
• Assist in the preparation of Purchase Orders for vendors and ensure relevant documents are provided from all departments
• Provide support with communicating with brokers, freight forwarders, consolidators, transportation etc. for timely delivery
• Assist with updating relevant departments and personnel regularly on the status of their orders
• Assist with maintaining and update all trackers and relevant files
• Compile and maintain detailed records of quantity, type, value and safety requirements of materials, equipment/tools or supplies stocked in the warehouse
• Conduct monthly stock counts
• Maintain physical warehouse(s)

 REQUIREMENTS        

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or similar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Sage/Peachtree (preferred)
• 2-3 years working experience in a similar position
• Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, logistics and supply chain management would be an asset
