S.M. Jaleel & Company Limited, a leading manufacturer and distribution company of non-alcoholic beverages, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Procurement Analyst.
Position Profile
The Procurement Analyst analyses data and works with production, warehousing, supply chain and other departments to execute demand and supply planning, as well as inventory, asset, vendor and commodity management and manage procurement contracts.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate new and existing suppliers based on technical, financial, commercial and environment capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, service, quality and delivery.
- Determine supply needs and research potential suppliers.
- Monitor on hand inventory on a weekly basis in accordance with the purchasing cycle and required carrying/holding stock levels to ensure no shortages arise and or overages exists
- Participate in cycle and annual inventory counts.
- Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Analyze the procurement process to identify opportunities to improve, meet best practices and ensure compliance with department and corporate policy.
- Negotiate favorable procurement contracts with selected vendors and suppliers.
- Conducts cost-benefit analyses to determine where the company can improve by re-negotiating contracts with existing suppliers or negotiating contracts with new suppliers.
- Maintains and develops strong supplier and vendor relationships to meet aggressive, ever changing production schedules and delivery dates.
General Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain Management or any related field.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a Purchasing, Supply Chain or Inventory Management environment in a Medium to large sized company in a related FMCG industry or 5-8 years experience in a Supply Chain / Procurement environment in a medium to large company
- Certification in CIPS, ISM or equivalent will be desirable.
- Certification in Quality Management and Project Management is desirable
