Legal Secretaries: For Conveyancing /Commercial Areas
Law Firm in Kingston, Jamaica
To provide legal administrative support to Attorneys in the Conveyancing and Commercial practices
Minimum Requirements (Please read carefully before applying):
- At least 3-5 years’ legal experience in General Conveyancing/Probate & Commercial Practices (will be an asset)
- Minimum of 5 GCE/CXC passes or the equivalent, inclusive of English Language
- Secretarial/Paralegal training or equivalent qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge interfacing with representatives from: Stamp Office, Titles Office, Supreme Court and Companies Office.
Key Functions
- To provide full secretarial and legal services to the Attorney-At-Law ensuring that the relevant duties are executed in a timely and efficient manner
- Liaise with internal departments and external clients
- To prepare basic legal documents, correspondence, reports, invoices, and accounting documents, on behalf of your supervisor
- Attention to detail required
