Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct, prepare or supervise cooking and other food preparation activities daily.
- Coordinating kitchen staff, assisting them as required and ensuring all food is of excellent quality, served in a timely manner and is presented in an aesthetically pleasing way.
- Monitor and oversee sanitation practices to ensure that regulations and standards of cleanliness are always strictly adhered to.
- Coordinate all food purchasing, budgeting, and planning operations.
- Meet with guests as needed to plan menu items and analyze recipes keeping in mind availability of seasonal ingredients.
- Inspect cooking equipment, supplies, work areas and ingredients to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards.
- Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary
- Keeping up to date with industry trends.
- Any other related duties assigned.
Training & Experience
- Proven experience as a working chef.
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Familiarity with the restaurant industry and the latest trends.
- Strong sense of culinary creativity and customer focus.
- Experience cooking with diverse ingredients.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
Special Conditions/Physical Demands
- Willingness to relocate.
- Overtime work.
