Science Teacher (High - School) - St. Maarten Region 

Your profile:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science teacher
to join our high school team. The ideal candidate will have a
deep knowledge of scientific concepts and a strong ability to
inspire students to explore, question, and apply their
understanding of the natural world. As a science teacher,
you will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for
learning in an engaging classroom environment.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in science or related field
• Valid teaching certification
• Strong knowledge and understanding of various scientific disciplines
• Experience teaching high-school students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Passion for inspiring students to pursue scientific exploration and academic
• excellence
• CXC Requirements: experimentation, syllabus etc. 

Tasks: 

• Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons for high-school students, covering subject such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science.
• Develop and implement curricula that aligns with CXC standards and promote scientific inquiry, problem-solving and experimentation. 
• Encourage students to think critically and analytically, applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including projects and demonstrations, to enhance student understanding.
• Assess student performance, provide feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative classroom atmosphere that encourages activeparticipation.
• Stay current with developments in the field of science and integrate new technologies and techniques into teaching.
