BRAND MANAGER
Continental Baking Company Limited is seeking to recruit a Brand Manager, who will be responsible for assisting with developing and implementing strategies to build, enhance and shape the Company's brands by increasing brand awareness and market share. The ideal candidate plays a crucial role in ensuring that the brand resonates with our target audience, stands out in the marketplace and aligns with the Company's overall business objectives.
Core Functions
Research and Analysis
- Conduct research and analyze the brand’s target audience, competitors, industry trends and customer insights/feedback through frequent trade visits and other research methods
- Use existing data to report and analyze the brand’s performance whilst making recommendations
- Define the brand’s positioning, value proposition and persona, navigating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Analyze trends in customer spending to business and marketing strategies
- Seek to enhance the brand's relevance, differentiation and loyalty in the market
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies and best practices in brand marketing and explore new ways to create and deliver value to the customers.
Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement the brand strategy and plans whilst outlining the goals, objectives, tactics, and metrics of the brand
- Create innovative and targeted brand campaigns to influence the mind of the consumer and shopper. Assess and report on the performance and effectiveness of marketing campaigns and brand strategy and plan, geared towards top line growth and bottom-line efficiency
- Adjust marketing campaigns, brand strategy and plans, based on market assessment and needs
- Ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to and assist with making decisions about the cost of branding
- Conduct a post evaluation of all executed promotions and events
Communication and Collaboration
- Evaluate and achieve results by building relationships, embracing change and thriving in a multifaceted culture
- Communicate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, marketing teams, sales teams, product teams, media agencies, influencers and customers
- Act as an advocate and ambassador of the brand and ensure that the brand's message and value are clearly and effectively conveyed to the relevant audiences
- Work with designers, copywriters and other creative professionals to ensure that the brand's identity is consistent, coherent and compelling across all touchpoints such as websites, social media, packaging, advertising, events and publications
Minimum Requirement: Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in brand management or related role, preferably in the FMCG market
- Strong understanding of current brand management trends, concepts, strategies and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent human relations, supervisory, time management, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid Food Handlers’ Permit and Driver’s Licence
- Highly professional, ethical and of integrity
- Required to work on weekends and public holidays, to meet operational demands
