To provide assistance and support in all aspects of HSE in all drilling operations.
All works are to be conducted consistent with good oilfield practices and consistent with QHSE standards as per Company and Client’s policies and regulatory requirements and with good Industrial and Human relations practices.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, MOEEI, company and client HSE policy and procedures and EMA/CEC requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and new employees receive rig site orientation including Emergency Response Plans.
- Ensure all employees are provided with the necessary PPE and are instructed in its use and care.
- Assist all daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of JSA for all tasks, Risk Assessment review.
- Ensure the implementation of the Permit to Work System.
- Conduct daily rig inspection and ensure same is documented including all HSE Equipment.
- Prepare Daily HSE Report, POB Report and maintain Corrective Action Log.
- Lead the company Behavior Based Safety (STOP) program.
- Ensure all employees are instructed on the safe handling, storage and disposal of hazardous chemicals and that all hazardous chemicals are properly labeled and MSDS is available.
- Administer First Aid treatment when required and document same.
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing as scheduled.
- Assist in accident/incident investigation and follow up on closure of open action items.
- Ensure daily DROPS inspections of derrick are conducted and document same.
- Ensure copies of all equipment inspection certificates, personnel certificates, policies, procedures, manuals are available.
- Ensure that all items on relevant Risk Assessments are properly conveyed to employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· B.Sc. Health, Safety and Environmental Management or equivalent program.
· Five (5) years’ experience in a similar capacity.
· An acceptable combination of academic qualifications and work experience may be considered in lieu of minimum requirements
