Business Operations Assistant
Project: After School CSEC Mathematics Tuition Project
Reports to: Secretariat Programme Manager
Salary: $8,000.00 per month
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a variety of routine to complex clerical/secretarial and administrative support duties.
- Draft routine correspondence.
- Develop spread sheets, reports and other documents.
- Develop and maintain electronic and physical file register in keeping with established procedures.
- Coordinate the receipt, sorting, recording and distribution of correspondence and other documents.
- Undertake follow-up activities as directed, specific to work programmes and decisions taken at meetings and work/group discussions.
- Assist in the compilation of data and analysis to make informed decisions.
- Performs administrative support duties inclusive of drafting of routine correspondence, screening incoming calls and coordinating appointments in consultation with immediate supervisor.
- Prepare requisitions for office supplies and equipment and management of storage and distribution of same.
- Generate a wide variety of documents utilising appropriate software.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the successful completion of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) GCE/CSEC Ordinary level/CXC passes including English and Mathematics and two (2) GCE Advanced level/CAPE passes
- Experience in general office work OR equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Competent in verbal and written correspondence
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power point.
- Time management skills.
- Detail orientation.
- Ability to anticipate service and support needs.
- Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and effectively within teams.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to strategize differently based on changing demands.
