About the Role:
The Project Coordinator is a key member of the project management team and supports the team by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with stakeholders, and managing workflow and deadlines to keep projects running smoothly. The Project Coordinator works collaboratively with all support departments to provide guidance and feedback, resolve minor issues and keep the team motivated to deliver high quality results.
Key Functions
- Supports the Project Management Team in executing corporate strategic projects.
- Assists the Project Manager in the development of project management documents including project budgets, project schedules and project plans
- Executes project management administrative and record keeping tasks such as tracking purchase orders and invoices, updating schedules, preparing status reports
- Administers the project procurement process
- Liaises with project stakeholders to confirm their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria and project timelines
- Coordinates the allocation of project resources to ensure the project team has what is needed at the right time
- Assigns tasks to team members and help them understand what is expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables
- Helps to identify project risks and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Helps the Project Manager monitor project progress performance and provide status reports for the project manager and other project stakeholders
- Schedules stakeholder meetings, document and generate reports
- Fosters cross-team collaboration to help project team members complete project tasks and produce deliverables

Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP Certification would be an asset) or equivalent certification with an operations management background.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar capacity in the Retail/ QSR Industry.
- Possesses a reliable motor car and holder of a valid driver’s licence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of project management software.
