General Manager

We are a dynamic company seeking to identify a General Manager who is an energetic, results-driven professional, with proven experience in a manufacturing, trading and competitive selling environment. The incumbent should have a strategic focus on business results and growth, be highly organized, and be comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Work collectively with a team to develop and execute a 3-5 year strategic business plan and ensure the achievement of selling and profitability targets.
• Determine and drive business opportunities to consistently increase sales through new channels/initiatives,
• Facilitate a team-oriented culture of great service delivery, accountability and respect, 
• Present a positive presence in the marketplace backed by unmatched customer satisfaction,
• Maintain a full awareness of the market/regulatory developments and emerging competition, to effectively plan practical strategies for continued growth.

Leadership Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, production & operations, marketing or equivalent,
• Minimum 8 years in a strong sales leadership environment,
• Sound commercial expertise in and knowledge of the marketplace,
• Proven expertise in translating an understanding of customers, resellers and suppliers to opportunities and knowledgeable in risks to profitability,
• A high level of initiative, with strong analytical, decision-making and project management skills,
• Able to meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude even in challenging circumstances,
• Support team development and high performance through engaging leadership.
