The Talent Acquisition Lead is a resourceful people-focused center of expertise who will manage all our human resource procedures for talent acquisition including sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, employer branding, headcount management and exits.
Coordinates staff recruitment process to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire. This process will include supporting Managers with development and revision of Job Descriptions, liaising with recruitment service providers, resume review, scheduling of interviews, screening of applicants via phone and face to face, updating of recruitment database and communicating with applicants via email and phone.
Develop relationships with schools and universities to support internships, graduates and short-term job placements that supports their academic programme.
Supports Selection process by: scheduling interviews, managing internal assessments, conducting reference/background checks and setting up pre- employment assessments.
Develop and implement strategic candidate attraction and generation hiring procedures, to build, maintain and retain, a measurable talent pipeline.
Supports Onboarding process: Setting up new hire orientation, prepare company photo ID, administering the creation of new employee files ensuring that it is in accordance with the established GCG onboarding requirements.
Supports employee engagements activities with the aim of excellent event execution through request for proposals, following up with vendors and suppliers, communicating with employees, preparing registers and other documents and by supporting at the event.
Provide periodic training to companywide acting recruiters in correct company processes, interviewing techniques etc.
Responding to employees’ queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Company policies and aligned to good industrial relations principles and practices.
Attend recruiting fairs to promote the brand find prospective employees.
Demonstrate to candidates a positive reflection or our brand and company.
Adherence to fair employment laws and practices.
Inputs and maintains data into the HRIS system for all new employees from hire to probation completion and support the monthly payroll and reporting requirements.
Performs administrative work: filing, copying, scanning, drafting correspondences, and reports
Supports additional projects being carried out by the wider Human Resources team.
Employer Branding: responsible for the representation of a company as an employer. This includes the image the company projects to attract and retain talent. This branding encompasses the company's values, work culture, and reputation in the job market.
Liaise with Group Marketing and Communication to support the Barbados employer brand
Maintain a relationship with tertiary, vocational and educational institutions to the aim of student development (readiness to work) and a talent pipeline.
