Job Summary:
The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) is the premier government agency that provides business development services to Jamaican Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). The company has strategic partnerships which is integral to implementing innovative and far-reaching business development programmes on a national scale. Against this background, the JBDC seeks a highly driven and enthusiastic individual to join the team and who will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the company’s projects and programmes along established guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors projects to ensure that actual activities conform to planned and intended objectives and stipulated guidelines.
- Provides assistance in the preparation of project proposal reports, terms of reference, contracts, work plans, selection criteria and other documentation to administer/manage projects in support of JBDC’s mission.
- Ensures the dissemination of monitoring and evaluation reports to target persons, including project team and management.
- Liaises and coordinates with implementing teams to ensure capture of relevant and required data for an effective monitoring and evaluation system.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes reports prepared by implementing partners and prepares consolidated progress reports.
- Prepares all documentation and other requirements for programme/project audit and/or evaluation.
- Supports the team in the preparation of project proposals.
- Supports the team in the administration of projects.
- Institutes the ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act’ (PDCA) cycle in the completion of tasks, in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies
- BSc Degree in Management/Business Administration or equivalent.
- Specialized training in Project Management.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience monitoring and evaluating projects including those funded by international donors.
