GCG Group Jamaica is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join our team in the capacity of Accounting Assistant -TEMPORARY FIXED-TERM CONTRACT at our Kingston location.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the day-to-day financial operations using SAGE and SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing financial reports and ensuring all entries are accurately recorded from SAGE into SAP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights using SAGE-generated data.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date that are transfered from SAGE to SAP system.
Ensure compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, and financial best practices.
Perform other accounting duties as required to support the finance team.
ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SAGE and SAP accounting modules is a plus
- Has accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
