Antigua and Barbuda Flag State Marine Surveyor
(Ship, Engineer or Nautical Discipline)
The Maritime Administration of Antigua and Barbuda, the Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping (ADOMS) has a vacancy for a Senior Marine Surveyor to join its multidiscipline survey team.
The successful applicant will assist in meeting ADOMS strategy for maritime safety, security and environmental protection, by carrying out statutory surveys, inspections, audits and enforcement duties, in a combination of desk work and ship surveys.
This is a very varied and rewarding job, with the opportunity to bring your professional and technical skills to supporting the Antigua and Barbuda international ship register and domestic shipping.
Based in the St John’s office in Antigua, you may be required to complete short term visits overseas, to meet operational business needs.
With a marine industry background and extensive experience in a managerial role, onboard ship, or in a technical capacity, you should hold at least STCW II/2 Master unlimited Certificate of Competency, STCW Chief Engineer III/2 unlimited Certificate of Competency, or an Honours Degree in Naval Architecture.
