Job Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic growth. This role involves managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, as well as developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's goals. The Finance Manager will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to provide insights that drive decision-making and enhance financial performance. This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and regulatory requirements specific to the financial sector.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial reports for individual Strategy Business Units, analysing performance metrics and variances to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide support for financial plans, forecasts, and budgets.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable operations.
- Supervise the bank reconciliation process to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved. Ensure that reconciliations are completed in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with investment teams to evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and investors.
- Communicate financial performance and strategic recommendations effectively.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve data accessibility.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization’s financial strategies and operations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management within the financial sector, with a proven track record of success in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and best practices specific to the financial industry
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing market conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences
