Business Development and Market Growth: - Drive business development opportunities both locally and internationally to enhance VMBS’ market share and presence in the Treasury space.
- Monitor and analyze the local corporate market to identify leads for new business development, with a strong focus on FX clients.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team on potential joint ventures to enhance VMBS’ market share.
- Make presentations and meet with prospective or inactive clients to grow FX market share.
- Contributes to the fulfilment of Treasury objectives and goals through strategic and tactical initiatives.
Client Relationship Management: - Develop and maintain a comprehensive client listing to manage relationships and drive cross-selling opportunities across VM Group SBUs.
- Represent the VMBS in a manner that fosters and expands positive relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all client and corporate information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Interface with the Sales Team, Branch Managers, SBU leads, and Leadership Team to emphasize the importance of FX as a major revenue driver.
- Act as a Treasury subject matter expert in internal and external forums, providing insights and representation on behalf of the department.
- Represent the Treasury in internal meetings and external forums, ensuring alignment with the Society’s overall strategy.
Operational Support and Compliance: - Learn and act as cover for both the FX and Fixed Income desks in the absence of team members.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, operational procedures, service standards, and internal requirements.
Market Intelligence and Strategy: - Monitor and analyze trends in FX and Treasury markets to guide competitive product and service development.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to drive innovation in Treasury offerings that align with evolving client
- needs and market trends.
Job Requirements - Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline from a recognized Tertiary Institution
- 3 years supervisory experience in local investments or securities field
- 5 years Sales/Portfolio Management experience with experience with FX market
- Deep understanding of Foreign Exchange markets, Treasury products, and related financial instruments
- Extensive business development, selling skills and advanced negotiating skills
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse client and team networks
