Video Editor
As a video editor for our company, you will play a vital role in creating compelling visual content that captures the attention of our target audience. Your primary responsibility will be to use your knowledge of video production to edit and enhance footage during the pre-production, production, and post-production phases to meet our clients' needs. This role requires an eye for detail and a strong understanding of the video editing process in all three phases. You will be responsible for collaborating with our team of creatives to produce high-quality videos that tell a story and engage our audience. Your ability to communicate effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines will be essential to your success in this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
- Edit video footage to create compelling and engaging visual content.
- Organize assets to clearly communicate project objective.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all video content produced by the company.
- Work in all three production phases (pre-production, production, and post-production).
- Manage and maintain all video editing equipment and software.
- Continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in video production.
- Identify captivating and gripping content, visuals, music and typography design for each assigned project.
- Stay informed, dedicated and committed to industry trends and best practices to tell stories and engage viewers on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Collaborate with our team of creatives and project managers to develop and execute video concepts.
- Adhere to best practices provided by the producer on organization of content server and equipment.
- Additional duties as needed and as delegated.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics design.
- Advanced proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro.
- Familiarity with video codecs and compression techniques for online and offline distribution.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Media and Communications, Television Production, other related disciplines
- 3+ years of professional experience in video editing with a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
