Team Lead - Collections Experience 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of collections associates to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding debts.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the collections process and reduce delinquency rates.
• Monitor team performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and training to enhance skills and productivity.
• Analyze and review accounts receivable data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and present regular reports on collections activities, performance metrics, and key insights to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and customer service, to resolve issues and improve overall collections efficiency.
• Lead and manage a team of collections professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels.
• Set clear performance expectations, establish goals, and monitor team members' progress towards targets.
• Ensure that KPIs are implemented effectively and met consistently.
• Analyze and assess the effectiveness of existing collection processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
• Oversee and execute negotiations with debtors to reach mutually beneficial settlement agreements.
• Generate regular reports for senior management, summarizing key metrics, trends, and the overall effectiveness of collections efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a Collections Team of 10+ people, with at least 8 years in accounting 
• Experience working in a fast paced/high volume environment 
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Proficiency in collections software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SAP/ERP is ideal
• Legal authorization to work in Trinidad and Tobago
