The role:
This Truck Driver position is responsible for delivering LNG in the most efficient and safe manner. The role will require the candidate to work effectively under pressure, uncertainty & tight schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibility is to successfully deliver LNG
- Retrieval of tanks from Container Terminals (Kingston and Montego Bay)
- Mapping routes ahead for the most efficient deliveries, avoiding heavy traffic and known construction.
- Ensuring vehicle maintenance and safety
- Pre/Post trip inspection
- Refueling of tractor
- Checking documentation including BOL and vehicular document
- Perform offloading duties
- Perform Shunting duties
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy cargo/tanker haulage
- Requires flexibility and ability to maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with tight deadlines, sensitive service issues, and emergency situations
- Proven time management, scheduling and prioritization skills
- Strong problem-solving management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a non-standard work schedule in a 24x7 operation
- Articulated driver’s license (for at least 5 years)
- Defensive driving certificate (no more than 2 yrs)
- Must have a clean driving record (no accidents) for the past 4 years
